Log in to the Email Appliance

1. Go to https://mail3.gov.yk.ca

2. Log in to the Email Appliance using your YNet ID and password. If you are a YESNET user provide your YESNET Active Directory (AD) account (i.e. your webfilter override, HRMS access)

Blocked and Deleted Messages

1. After logging in, you will be shown any messages that have been blocked for your email account. Other menu items are listed in the sidebar under Blocked Messages.

2. If you have blocked messages, a list of these messages will appear. To delete a message from the list, click the check box next to the message and click Delete Message. The message is sent to the Deleted Messages page.
If you want to approve a sender, click on the check box next to the message and click Deliver and Approve Sender. The Approved Senders page appears. At this point, you can choose to approve only the sender or approve all email from the sender’s domain. Clicking Approve delivers the selected message to your inbox. (Note: This may take a few minutes.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whitelist an Email Address

To whitelist (approve) email from a sender to your email account, click on Approved Senders.

Click in the Add address field and type in the address you want to whitelist, in the form user@domain (e.g. joeuser@canada.com). Click on Add Sender.

 

Note: Whitelisting and blacklisting email using this appliance filters only your email account.

2. You are shown a list of approved senders. To delete a sender from the list, click on the check box next to the sender, then click on Delete Sender. To add another approved sender, click on Add Sender.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blacklist an Email Address

  1. To blacklist (block) email from a sender to your email account, click on Blocked Senders.
    Click in the Add address field and type in the address you want to blacklist, in the form user@domain (e.g. joeuser@canada.com). Click on Add Sender.
